Tom comes from a divorced family. His parents can’t pay enough attention to him because they are busy with their own business. Tom gradually becomes a “wild boy”. He not only steals things from his classmates, but also bullies others who is younger than him into stealing . There is a lot of bunk in his speech. Nobody can believe him. Everyone in his school regards him as a loose cannon.
One day, a new teacher, Jacky comes to teach Tom. Jacky is a handsome and young teacher who has just graduated from a normal university. He is also a good sport. When he learns the story about Tom, he decides to help him. Some of Jacky’s colleagues think that it is impossible to change Tom. So they tell Jacky that it is a lost cause to do so. But Jacky insists. He tries to touch base with Tom even though he refuses. Before long Jacky finds that Tom is fond of playing basketball. It is just a window of opportunity for Jacky to contact with Tom. They spent much time playing basketball together. As time goes by, Jacky finds that Tom has a lot on the ball. He thinks that Tom’s bad behavior results from lacking of correct guidance. From then on, Jacky tried every chance to stay with Tom in school, telling him what can or should be done and what is prohibited. Tom gradually treats Jacky as a brick of him. He tells everything about him to Jacky.
There is a basketball shooting competition held in Tom’s school. Jacky persuades Tom to take part in it. But Tom is not confident to win. He thinks the
competition is a long shot. Jacky gives Tom much courage and tell him to try his best. Finally, Tom succeeds in the competition and wins the golden medal. Jacky is very happy. He gives a love tap on Tom’s head and celebrates his achievement.
With the help of Jacky, Tom manages to get rid of his bad habits and becomes an energetic and warm-hearted boy.
